In collaboration with the Bacardi NH7 Weekender Music Festival 2014, we introduced 'The Wire'—a tabloid-sized zine comprising four issues tailored specifically for the NH7 Weekender editions in Pune, Bengaluru, Delhi, and Kolkata.
Each issue of 'The Wire' was meticulously crafted to reflect the unique essence of its respective city, delving into the indie music scene and alternative sub-cultures prevalent there. The logotype of 'The Wire' was custom hand-lettered, adding a personal touch to the publication. Drawing from our extensive graphic art and design expertise accumulated over the years of working with the festival, the visual language of the zine seamlessly blended with our established style.
With each city assigned a distinct special color, in addition to black, the design of 'The Wire' incorporated this palette into its layout, typography, lettering, and image treatments. Utilizing a two-color offset print—black and a specially selected Pantone shade—the zine exuded vibrancy and character unique to each edition. We curated custom illustrations and fictitious ads for every issue, infusing elements of fun and surprise throughout the publication, including hidden Easter eggs for readers to discover.
'The Wire' garnered recognition beyond borders, being featured in Taiwan-based DPI magazine.
