In 2008, we crafted the initial brand identity for Soda Films, and subsequently reimagined it in 2016. In 2023, we had another opportunity to refresh their identity. This latest iteration commemorates the journey of the past sixteen years and showcases Soda Films' evolving ventures.
Our approach to the 2023 brand identity draws inspiration from the amalgamation of its previous incarnations. We revisited the illustrations from 2008 and 2016, supplementing them with new illustrative and photographic elements. These elements were then seamlessly integrated into a dynamic introductory video that encapsulates Soda Films' ethos, whether for advertising or cinematic endeavours.
Central to this video is the iconic soda bottle cap, affectionately known as a 'billa'. It serves as a focal point, around which various mediums such as paper cuts, paintings, digital illustrations, and photographs are ingeniously employed. Texture scans depicting hyper-local Indian scenarios, packaging elements, and everyday objects further enrich the visual narrative. The resulting video, showcased prominently on their website, serves as a compelling invitation for audiences to immerse themselves in the world of Soda Films.
