Dispersive Acts

Catalogue Design for TARQ  - ‘Dispersive Acts’ - a solo exhibition by Amba Sayal-Bennett.

The catalogue accompanies her sculptural and drawing-based exploration of colonial histories through botanical forms, with Rani Baug in Mumbai as a central point of reference.

The cover features mustard-yellow paper with a white single-colour screen print, tying into the broader visual language of the 2024 series. Elements from Amba’s precise line drawings are

recreated in screenprint on the cover.

Inside, the essay by Mala Yamey is printed in a yellow Pantone shade using single-colour offset, while artworks are reproduced in four-colour offset on coated paper. As with other catalogues in the series, a dual-binding structure separates text from image—allowing each to stand independently, while still remaining in dialogue.
