In 2022, TBC revamped its space after 7 years and BombayDuckDesigns was commissioned to create a massive mural based on Bombay. We created ‘Bombay on a Plate’.
A space feels ‘lived-in’ when things begin to accumulate - design objects, things with emotional connections, frames, artworks, random ephemera and so on. Bombay on a Plate is our take on collecting different details and nick knacks from around the city and laying them out on ceramic plates. The shape of the ceramic plates also evolves, showing the ever evolving nature of this city.
Here’s how ‘Bombay on a Plate’ came together on a 30 x 6.5 feet wall at The Bombay Canteen.
Details : 86 custom made Stoneware plates, each meticulously hand painted over the period of 2 months by our team.
