Great State Dive is a space for community, collaboration, great music, easy dining, fun cocktails and above all - a variety of fresh craft beer.
The brand identity for Great State Aleworks' rooftop dive bar takes visual cue from the phrases ‘creating ripples’ and ‘Let’s dive in’ by forming the logo out of the concentric shape of ripples.
The word dive is not just placed on top of the ripples but has been drawn in a way that the type is formed by it. We created an identity system that has 5 different versions of the logotype; in addition to which, the visual of ripples extends into a graphic language that is flexible and dynamic.
To add a splash of colour to the black-white-brown interiors of the rooftop bar, we chose a bright colour palette that allowed for visual variety.
The logotypes have been designed in such a way that it can be stamped, screen printed, laser cut, embossed, etc. and can also be adapted as environment graphics or murals.
